West Kentucky collision is striving to be the first shop to go to the water bourne system, which will make all of our paint products better for the environment. Making the switch to the waterborne is estimated to prevent 10 million pounds of VOC emissions(Volatile Organic Compounds). Law regulates by 2013 all shops in Kentucky must be using this system, but West Kentucky Collision is making efforts and planning all the necessary moves we need to make to be one of the first in the state.
Here at west Kentucky Collision we recycle over a ton of cardboard a month, that’s 17 trees a month. In a year we save over 200 trees. We know that we need to do our part in saving the environment. We also know recycling paper uses 60% less energy than manufacturing it from new materials. So by recycling our copy paper, and cardboard we reduce sulfur dioxide emissions, we use less of our precious fossil fuels, and we save energy. We are doing our part to help the environment, and we are still doing the same great repairs.
